Learn AI visibility

The concepts behind measuring your brand in AI answers, defined precisely and without the hype, so you know exactly what a score means before you chase it. Start with Share of AI Answer for the metric itself, or why web-grounded measurement is non-negotiable for the single technical decision that determines whether any of these numbers are real.

What do you need to understand before tracking AI visibility?

Three things, in this order. What the metric is and how it is computed; why every query has to run with live web search enabled; and which of the many numbers you could report actually support a decision.

Where do you go after the concepts?

To the engine you care about most, then to the work. The track guides cover how to measure each of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok specifically, including how each one grounds its answers and what it tends to cite. The get cited guides cover what to do once you know which questions you lose.

If you are evaluating tools rather than concepts, how AI Visibility Tracker compares puts the whole category side by side, with prices read off each vendor’s own page and stated limitations on our side.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI visibility?

AI visibility is how often, and how favourably, AI assistants name or cite your brand when answering the questions your buyers ask. It is measured as Share of AI Answer — the percentage of tracked question-engine pairs where your brand appears — rather than as rankings or traffic.

What is the difference between AEO, GEO and AI SEO?

They are three names for substantially the same practice: making it more likely that AI assistants cite your brand. AEO (answer engine optimization) and AI SEO are the common industry terms; GEO (generative engine optimization) is more common in academic writing. None of them describes a different technique.
